In the past , Subsistence agriculture emphasized the importance of counting on each other in society and interdependence with nature through the form ,tradition, rituals andfaith for the unity of people, the land, the water and the environment that must live together. All of these are helping people to live together with the environment without being too encroach. Nowadays, the demand for more products from industrial agriculture affects the production methods of farmers. People are more involved with chemistry and change from a farmer to a rice field manager. The connection between people to people and nature is diminished. The rice fields lacked a way of life and leaving only the loneliness.

Some forms have a positive effect on society, while others have a broad impact on society and the environment. Capitalism is a form of economic system that plays a role in the way of life of rural people and affects the way of thinking. Traditions and beliefs of rural people make it necessary to adapt. The existence of traditional wisdom is clashing with different cultures.
