Memorial of Assimilation, 2020

The community where I lived was originally remembered by stories of people living primarily on a self-reliant, subsistence economy. There is a cultural tradition and way of life that is connected to nature. Suitability can be considered an important way of thinking in managing resources in harmony between people and the environment. But at present the social situation has changed. The community in which I live has been replaced by a capitalist economy that focuses mainly on production for trading. The result is that areas in communities are overrun by monoculture farming that uses large amounts of chemicals to accelerate the growth of crops and have increased impacts on farmers, people, and the environment

The 2017 blood test for pesticide residues, as a result of the use of a large number of pesticides in agriculture, found 34 villagers in the unsafe group, 51 at risk, and 15 in the safe group from the inspectors. All 100 people at Ban Na Du, Mae Ta , Lampang

Memorial of Assimilation talks about the problem of chemical residues in the blood of Nadu villagers. through the process of exchanging objects bringing objects and stories from each community to be placed in order to reflect the voices of the whole village about the events that occurred

Memorial of Assimilation begins with the creation of a ceramic glass screen printed with the words “The water is here” to be used in exchange for objects related to villagers, one for each person, a total of 121 pieces from 121 households, to be arranged in glass cabinets. Inside, water from the village's water source flooded all the objects. In the VDO section projected on the wall are the voices of people in the village regarding changes in water sources in the community and their experiences of being affected by pesticides in the rice fields. and the huts washed in the fields were rebuilt.
